There is already provision to stop parents/carers from beating children,it is no coincidence that soft options are creating very badly behaved children.

Parents/carers must be allowed to chastise their children in an appropriate  way,a small tap on the hand is hardly child abuse,and the parents/carers who abuse their children are not going to stop,they will just be far more furtive .
