Loving parents know their children best and giving them a mild smack is a form of discipline.
And having a mild smack when I was young has done me no harm
Being a parent myself I see that some children need that form of discipline while others do not no two children are the same .

No . The law I believe already protects children from abuse and the government should be upholding the law that is already there.

Yes . Good parents could be criminalised ,resources wasted in investigating parents can then be scared of any form of discipline in public.
