I do not believe a parents right to discipline their own children in an appropriate loving way should be removed.
If the pretence is to protect children from abuse, there are already multiple laws in place to protect children from abuse or violence. Chastening a child using a smack is not violent nor abusive, I was smacked for bad behaviour and grew up with a greater respect for my parents.
I do not believe it fair or reasonable that loving caring parents should be made into criminals by this bill.

Yes, law abiding parents will be criminalised.
There is no way to police this if the bill is passed.
How many parents will be accused of wrong doing simply because a child claims something (young children often say imaginative things) or another person deems something as inappropriate which wasn't.
