It seems that the lower the IQ the more help is available. High functioning autistic people are very vulnerable also. It seems that if an autistic person can talk and has average or above average intelligence, the perception is they don’t need any help. In fact high functioning ASD probably needs more intervention because difficulties are not obvious.
