[1]          Huw Irranca-Davies: Good afternoon and welcome to today’s session of the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee. We have quite a busy agenda this afternoon, though, with the consent of the committee, when we get to the relevant places, we may find that quite a deal of it is within private session. But we have some items of formal business first of all. As per normal, we’re not expecting a fire alarm, so please follow our ushers and staff if an alarm does go off. All mobile devices should be switched to silent mode, and, of course, we have simultaneous translation on channel 1. With that, we move to item—sorry, item No. 1 on the agenda is apologies and we have apologies from Nathan Gill, our committee member, for today. And also, Dai, I understand, you’re going to need to leave at about 3.30 p.m.—that’s fine as well. We’ll make a lot of progress by then. So, no other apologies or items to note under item No. 1.

Papers to Note

[2]          Huw Irranca-Davies: So, item No. 2: papers to note. We have three papers to draw to committee members’ attention, all of which we can come back to discuss subsequently. The first one is paper 1, report of the Delegated Powers and Regulatory Reform Committee. I’d invite Members to note the report, which was published last Thursday, and we will of course be considering the approach to scrutiny of the EU withdrawal Bill later this afternoon. So, you may want to defer discussion until we get to that. If you’re content with that, to note, thank you.

[3]          Then, we move to paper No. 2: the EU withdrawal Bill, suggested amendments from the Greener UK Coalition. Now, this is a paper that has also been sent to the External Affairs and Additional Legislation Committee. Again, if you’re content in noting it, we can defer discussion to later in the afternoon. Thank you very much.

[4]          Then finally, we have a letter from the Llywydd in connection with Senedd@Delyn. So, I’d invite Members to note the letter from the Llywydd and we can again return to that in our later discussion.

[6]          David Melding: Agreed.
