We call upon the National Assembly for Wales to urge the Welsh Government to support construction of Housing for Graduate Students.

What I describe here is nothing short of a revolutionary set of National Monuments. The buildings I shall go on to detail have a function that affects social growth at the most real grass roots level. Towers of opportunity and centrepieces of re-development; The National Graduate’s Housing Schemes are the most real part of tomorrow’s world. Constructed in the same fashion as our most modern shopping malls and hospitals; these masterpieces are both splendid and achievable for the masses. I envisage estates of structures as tall as eight or twelve storeys in height. Built from steel frames; there is as much fluidity in their form as there is rigidity in their function. The residents can enjoy food and fine wine, coffee, fashion and dances. All from within the boundaries of their exclusive accommodation facilities.

The lower street levels are all avenues, precincts and terraces. Here the concept is that these most modern developments are superior to previous mass housing efforts through having integral Shopping and Entertainment facilities. Crucial street level ‘Graduate Jobpoints’ offer more than simply career advice. The contact between the generations there allows for full understanding of exactly what degrees are there on the Resident’s Roll of Names. The roll of the Managerials in the Graduate Jobpoint is then to assist the Graduates in finding their place in the economy. Other professional services can be accommodated in archetectural designs allowing for on-site businesses. Here multi-discipline task forces can be assembled to work directly on issues that are most relavent to a progressive student movement.

Incorporated into the structures of the major buildings there are positions for many business to serve and employ the residents. The lower two to three levels contain numerous outlets including grocery stores, cafes, bars, etc. There is also space within the buildings for commercial/civil office space for specialist task forces of graduates and professional bodies to work economic accelerator areas. The same design and construction forces applied through construction of buildings for economic key areas such as fashion and media may also bring about greater employment levels

It is important that the Graduate sector recieves Government Support, That is if Government are to hold good to the money they have loaned. As for Government funding the rent of the Graduate Residents, the system is loss-less where Government is also the Landlord.  The National Graduate Housing Schemes are works of Socio-Politico genius that can and will show themselves as this Country and it’s global neighbours move on through the coming years.

To conclude; I suggest a Graduate world that is managed lightly and smoothly so that all those finishing University successfully can find the right place in a developing society. This only means wise stewardship of qualifications towards businesses.
