Summary of issues discussed:

 

A formal AGM was held and Russell George was re-elected Chairman. This was seconded by Alun Ffred Jones AM and members of Ofcom. It was agreed that Ofcom would provide secretariat to the Group.

Neil Stock (Ofcom, Head of Radio Policy) gave a presentation on the future of community and commercial radio in Wales. This was followed by a question and answer session.

Representatives from Get Safe Online, Deryn, ITV, S4C, Town and Country Broadcasting, Ofcom Advisory Committee for Wales, NFU Cymru

 

Summary of issues discussed:

 

Ofcom held its annual Communications Market Report stakeholder event at the meeting. Rhodri Williams (Ofcom, Director, Wales) and Jane Rumble (Ofcom, Director of Market Intelligence) highlighted some of the key findings of the UK and Wales reports. Discussions were had on mobile coverage in Wales as well as internet safety.

Representatives from the Welsh Government, Ofcom Advisory Committee for Wales, Spectrum Internet, BBC Audience Council for Wales, Wise Kids

 

Summary of issues discussed:

 

Alwen Williams gave a short introduction on the Ed Hunt gave an update on the Superfast Cymru project to date. A discussion was had on the roll out of the project and the schemes and options available for those in the final 4% in Wales.
