Topic: Impact of Welfare Reform in Wales.
There were two presentations identifying the key issues and concerns in Wales:
Fran Targett, Director of Citizens Advice Cymru will talk about the issues that are being raised by the public in Wales.
Dr Liz Jones, Development officer, Children in Wales outlined her findings from research with Welsh MPs and AMs on the issues raised by families in Wales, in the light of the Welsh Government report; Analysing the impact of the UK Government’s Welfare Reforms in Wales.

Topic: A private matter? Children, human rights and domestic abuse

There was a presentation by Dr Jocelynne Scutt, a feminist lawyer and one of Australia’s leading human rights barristers. She served as the first Anti-Discrimination Commissioner of Tasmania and as a judge in the High Court of Fiji. She is a member of the UN Committee against Trafficking, a board member of the International Alliance of Women and its representative for the International Criminal Court.
