1       Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

1.1 The Chair welcomed Members, apologies were received from Jack Sargeant AM, there was no substitute. 



2       Inquiry into School Funding - evidence session

2.1 The Committee heard evidence from ASCL and NAHT.

2.2 They agreed to provide freedom of request information from Local Authorities regarding the amount of money spent on school improvements.



3       Inquiry into School Funding - evidence session

3.1 The Committee heard evidence from NASUWT, NEU and UCAC.



4       Papers to note

4.1 The papers were noted.

4.2 The Committee agreed to write to the Minister for Education regarding the letters from ADEW and the WLGA on the progress on developing the new Curriculum for Wales and the letter from SNAP Cymru on the draft ALN code.





5       Motion under Standing Order 17.42(xi) to resolve to exclude the public from the meeting for the remainder of the meeting and for the whole of the meeting on 6 March

5.1 The Motion was agreed.



6       Inquiry into School Funding - consideration of the evidence

6.1 The Committee considered the evidence they had heard during the sessions.



7       Inquiry into the Impact of Brexit on Higher and Further Education - discussion on the Welsh Government response

7.1 The Committee considered the Welsh Government’s response. They agreed to write to the Minister for Education to clarify some of the details in the response.
