1       Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

1.1        The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting.

1.2              Apologies were received from Jack Sargeant AM.

2.1 The papers were noted.



2.1   Natural Resources Wales: Scrutiny of Annual Report and Accounts 2017-18 - Correspondence from Clare Pillman (17 October 2018)



3       The Welsh Government’s relationship with Pinewood: Evidence session with the Welsh Government

3.1 Members received evidence from Andrew Slade, Director General, Economy, Skills and Natural Resources; Jason Thomas, Director Culture, Sport and Tourism, and Tim Howard, Deputy Director of Property, Welsh Government as part of their inquiry into the Welsh Government’s relationship with Pinewood.

3.2 Andrew Slade agreed to:

·         Send a note explaining the composition of the Media Investment Budget of £42m

·         Provide detailed figures of all revenue for Pinewood Studio Wales for the last financial year when the final position is known

·         Provide a timeframe for the proposed renovation of the Grade II listed farmhouse together with all costs incurred to date on maintaining the building and costs of proposed renovation



4       Motion under Standing Order 17.42 to resolve to exclude the public from the meeting for the following business:

4.1 The motion was agreed.



5       The Welsh Government’s relationship with Pinewood: Consideration of the evidence received

5.1 Members considered the evidence received.

5.2 Members agreed to publish its findings in a report.



6       Natural Resources Wales: Consideration of the draft Report

6.1 Members revisited one area of the draft report and after consideration, the Clerks will reword and circulate a revised version by email for agreement.
