1       Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

1.1 The Chair welcomed Members. Apologies were received from Darren Millar, there was no substitute.



2       Childcare Funding (Wales) Bill - evidence session 1

2.1 The Committee heard evidence from the Minister for Children and Social Care.

2.2 The Minister agreed to provide the following:
A note on the family incomes of those accessing childcare support under the current pilot;

A copy of guidance for Early Implementer Local Authorities.



3       Childcare Funding (Wales) Bill - evidence session 2

3.1 The Committee heard evidence from the Children’s Commissioner.

4.1 The papers were noted.



4.1   Letter to the Cabinet Secretary for Education - School Organisation Code



4.2   Letter to the Minister for Children and Social Care - Children and Families Delivery Grant



5       Motion under Standing Order 17.42(ix) to resolve to exclude the public from the meeting for the remainder of the meeting.

5.1 The Motion was agreed.



6       Childcare Funding (Wales) Bill - Consideration of the evidence

6.1 The Committee considered the evidence they had heard.



7       Forward Work Programme - approach to the inquiry into the status of the Welsh Baccalaureate

7.1 The Committee agreed the terms of reference and the approach for gathering evidence and engagement work.
