1.1 The Chair welcomed the Members to the meeting.
1.2 Apologies were received from Mohammad Asghar AM and Lee Waters AM. There were no substitutes.
2.1 The papers were noted.
3.1 Members considered and noted the letter from the Royal College of General Practitioners.
4.1 The Committee took evidence from Dr Carwyn Jones, Furnace House Surgery, Carmarthen and Dr Darren Chant, Meddygfa Teifi, Llandysul as part of the inquiry on medicines management.
5.1 The Committee took evidence from Dr Alun Edwards, Ty Bryn Surgery, Caerphilly; Dr Alun Walters, Clinical Director, Primary Care & Community Service, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and Eryl Smeethe, Pharmacist and Neighbourhood Care Networks Lead Torfaen North, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board as part of the inquiry on medicines management.
6.1 The Committee took evidence from Andrew Evans, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer and Professor Chris Jones, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Welsh Government as part of the inquiry on medicines management.
6.2 Andrew Evans agreed to send further information on the anticipated roll out date for the MTeD (Medicines Transcribing and e-Discharge) system across Wales.
7.1 The motion was agreed.
8.1 Members considered the evidence received and asked the Clerks to prepare a draft report.
