1       Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting.

2       Inquiry into medical recruitment - evidence session 6 - Royal College of Emergency Medicine and the Royal College of Radiologists

2.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine and the Royal College of Radiologists.

 

3       Inquiry into medical recruitment - evidence session 7 - Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health

3.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

 

4       Inquiry into medical recruitment - evidence session 8 - Local Health Boards

4.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of Velindre NHS Trust, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board and Hywel Dda University Health Board.

 

5       Inquiry into medical recruitment - evidence session 9 - Wales Deanery

5.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of the Wales Deanery.

 

6       Motion under Standing Order 17.42 to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting and for the meeting of 1 March 2017

6.1 The Committee agreed the motion.

 

7       Inquiry into medical recruitment - consideration of evidence

7.1 The Committee discussed the evidence given during items 2, 3, 4 and 5.

 

8       Public Health (Wales) Bill - Order of Consideration - agreement in principle ahead of Stage 2 proceedings

8.1 Ahead of the Stage 1 debate on 28 February and the agreement of the general principles of the Public Health (Wales) Bill, the Committee agreed, in principle, to the following Order of Consideration for the purposes of Stage 2 proceedings in committee:
