The Chair welcomed Members. There were no apologies.
The Committee scrutinised the Commissioner on her annual report. The Commissioner agreed to provide the following:
A breakdown of the types of cases that have been dealt with by the casework team over the last year; and
A note on the Commissioner’s strategic outreach plan including the amount of engagement with children and young people.
Under Standing Order 17.24 Llyr Gruffydd AM declared he was an Honorary President of the Council for Wales of Voluntary Youth Services (CWVYS).
The Committee heard evidence from CWVYS.
The Committee heard evidence from the PYOG and the WLGA.
The WLGA agreed to provide a note on the position of youth service mapping exercises within local authorities.
The papers were noted.
The Committee agreed to write to the Welsh Government to request a copy of its response to the Committee of Advertising Practice consultation on introducing restrictions on the non-broadcast advertising of food and soft drinks to children.
