The Chair welcomed Members, witnesses and members of the public.
The Chair extended his thanks to the Director of the National Museum of Wales and his staff for the assistance given to the Committee.
Apologies were received from Ann Jones. Mike Hedges substituted for her.
2.1 The Committee scrutinised the First Minister on the promotion and marketing of Wales. The Chair put a number of questions to the First Minister relating to the promotion and marketing of Wales, received from members of the public via social media.
2.2 The Committee scrutinised the First Minister on constitutional developments.
3.1 Members noted both papers:
CSFM(4)02-15(ptn1) - The Welsh Government Annual Update in Response to Recommendations from the Committee for the Scrutiny of the First Minister: The Welsh Government’s Relationship with the Third Sector and the Private Sector.
CSFM(4)02-15(ptn2) - Letter from the First Minister to the Chair – Follow up from the meeting on 13 March 2015 (the Welsh Government’s role in protecting and enhancing the Welsh language and the process for, and scrutiny of, major public appointments in Wales).
4.1 The Committee agreed the Motion under Standing Order 17.42 and resolved to exclude the public from the meeting for Agenda Item 5.
5.1 The Committee discussed the evidence received during the earlier scrutiny session and agreed to write to the First Minister, setting out a number of observations and recommendations.
