1 Introductions, apologies and substitutions
The Chair welcomed Members to the Meeting. Apologies were received from Suzy Davies and John Griffiths. Paul Davies substituted for Suzy Davies.
2 Qualifications Wales Bill - Evidence session 7
The Committee heard evidence from the Minister for Education and Skills. The Minister agreed to provide a note on:
The number of schools in border areas that buy in qualifications from English exam boards.
The degree of control that local authorities have on foundation schools (previously grant maintained) in border areas.
How the current Legislation and the Qualifications Wales Bill will interact on apprenticeships.
The financial impact of the establishment of Qualifications Wales on the rest of the Education and Skills budget.
